Roberta Richards, MLIS, PhD (Ethics)
Before receiving my "calling" to be a librarian, I received a doctorate in ethics and spent several years teaching world religions and other philosophy and religion classes. As a librarian, I am a zealot about information literacy and welcome every opportunity to help students become savvy about finding quality information. My research interests include student retention, the Open Access movement, and library continuing education. My theoretical hobbies include hiking, camping, politics, and reading widely, although in practice I spend my time ferrying children to events.
