Library catalog

Search the library catalog for books, videos, CDs, and magazines held in the library. Look for call numbers and campus locations. For a result set of the most current items in a topic area, search with the "any field" limit set to "Subject" while using the Keyword search tab. For example:

AccessScience
This is the online version of the Encyclopedia of Science & Technology and the Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms. In addition to the 8,000+ articles there are biographies, research updates, and science news

Biology journals (ProQuest)
Full text articles from 189 biology journals. 136 of them are peer- reviewed.

BIOSIS Previews
The "world's most comprehensive reference database for life science research" and biology. It provides citations to research studies, abstracts of books and meeting presentations. Indexes nearly 5,500 serials. Coverage is from 1990 to 2004.

BuildingGreen Suite
Information on a wide range of topics related to sustainable building, including energy efficiency, recycled-content materials, land-use planning and indoor air quality. Integrates online versions of GreenSpec , Environmental Building News (EBN), and a database of more than 100 high-performance building case studies.

Electronic Collections Online
Citations and some full text articles from over 2000 scholarly journals.  Coverage is from 1995 to the present; updated daily.

Europa World Online
Political and economic information for 250 countries and territories. Each country survey includes recent history; government; economic affairs; defense; education; social welfare; and economic and demographic statistics.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
A database of 27 encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Look here for biology, chemistry, nursing and medicine, sociology, history, education, law, and more.

GPO
The Government Printing Office Monthly Catalog contains citations for all types of U.S. government documents.  Coverage begins in 1996; updated monthly.

LexisNexis Academic Universe
Full-text of newspapers, wire services, and magazines from around the world, including the New York Times . Also provides company profiles and financial reports, government transcripts, trade journals and academic and legal databases.

MasterFILE Premier
Full text for more than 1,900 general reference, business, consumer health, general science, and multi-cultural periodicals. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for over 2,510 periodicals.

Science Direct Health and Life Sciences Journals Collection
Full text for over 890 peer reviewed journals. For best results click on SEARCH to get started. Limit your search to SUBSCRIBED Journals.
