Database Search Tips

Remember that databases are really literal.

Instead of "issues with literacy for children in bilingual households " try "literacy " in one search box and "bilingual" in another search box.

You may have to try multiple words before the search pans out. Remember the full-text box. Otherwise you might find a lot of summaries but no actual articles.

See a list of databases by subject. Your topic might be in education and counseling, humanities, history, or another subject area.
Experiment-- you're not going to break anything!
