Making cutout hats with construction paper

The Rock Creek Library hosted a crafts table for the PCC Harvest Festival. Watch the slideshow to catch the fun, creativity and connections that were made with the community during this event.

The Rock Creek Library hosted a crafts table for the Harvest Festival held at the Rock Creek campus. Two RC Librarians, Pam Kessinger and Robin Shapiro, along with two volunteers staffed the table. They helped kids and their parents make 78 hats with bat wings from construction paper.

The purpose of the library's participation in the Harvest Festival events is to encourage kids to connect to the college, and to do some outreach to the community members. For a lot of people it might be the very first time they have ever met a librarian!
