Director’s Welcome

Fall LeavesOn behalf of the staff of Portland Community College (PCC) Library, welcome to Fall Term 2015!

We look forward to working with you this year and are here to support your success – explore our website and spaces to find out about library services and resources. This year the Library is involved in strategic planning. Fall term we will be asking you what you want. We hope you will participate in this college-wide conversation.

PCC libraries are designed for all types of uses. What’s your comfort zone? Whether you’re here to study, work, or create, PCC Library has a noise zone for you.

This year, Cascade Campus Library will be closed for a remodel. The temporary Checkout and Research Help desk is in Terrell Hall 116. Find out more about the Cascade Library remodel.

A few fun facts for those of you who are new to the College:

  • PCC is a member of the Orbis Cascade Alliance, a consortium of academic libraries in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.  Find items from all Alliance libraries using the search box on the library website.
  • The research section of the library website provides links to many tools that help support learning and research.  When doing a research project, get started with Library “How Do I…?.
  • Librarians at the College create research guides for every subject area.  They are a great place to start your information search.

Please contact us if there is anything we can do to support you doing the year.
