The library at Portland Community College promotes the effective use of information resources and instructional technology in support of college instruction and the learning community with a skilled and professional staff.
Mission statement
In order to enhance and enrich coursework and help library users gain core competencies, PCC Library will:
- provide access to instructional resource materials (books, videos, digital information)
- provide access to, support for, and consultation on equipment (computers, audiovisual)
- provide instruction on the use of materials and equipment
- facilitate classroom use of instructional technology
- collaborate with groups inside and outside of PCC to maximize on- and off-campus access to resource materials
- provide support and coordination for district-wide instructional resources (help desks, instructional servers and services, technical training)
