Stories are a powerful way to foster an understanding of self, of others, and of the diversity of life. They also illustrate the disparities that exist in the distribution of opportunities and resources.

The Equity Stories Project, a Photo Exhibit sponsored by the Coalition for a Livable Future (CFL), shares the experiences of 12 diverse communities through the region. Portland Community College Library at the Sylvania Campus is proud to host this exhibit from January 30, 2014 to February 28, 2014.

A reception and presentation on the exhibit will be held in the Portland Community College Sylvania Performing Arts Center Lobby on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 3:00pm-4:30pm. The reception will include refreshments, speakers, a short film, and a tour of the exhibit.

The Equity Stories Project is funded by grants from the Northwest Health Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
