When an employee believes that, due to substantial changes in their job, the job warrants review, the employee may submit a completed job classification questionnaire, with approval signatures, to Human Resources. Upon completion of the review by the classification analysts, the employee will be notified in writing of the decision.
An employee may appeal the decision within 15 working days of receipt of the decision by sending an appeal letter to the Director of Human Resources who may elect to delegate the appeal to a designee or committee who will report directly to the Director of Human Resources. Arrangements will be made for the employee to meet with the Director, designee or committee to discuss the appeal. Within 30 working days of this meeting a decision will be made by the Director of Human Resources and a written response will be provided the employee. In formulating a decision, the Director of Human Resources may consult with the Executive Officer to whom the employee ultimately reports. The decision of the Director of Human Resources will be final and binding.
