Nursing: Multiple Scholarship

To apply for this scholarship, you must meet all the criteria for at least one of the scholarships listed below. In addition, applicants must answer a supplemental essay question: "What specialization of nursing do you wish to pursue and why?"

Nursing scholarships will be awarded (around late May) after the Nursing Department selects and confirms the acceptance/enrollment of prospective candidates and current students.

Carovano Nursing

One award for $1,100

  • Full-time student (12 credits or more per term).
  • Enrolled in the Nursing program or will be accepted into the Nursing program.
  • If currently enrolled in the program, must have completed at least two terms in the Nursing program by the end of Winter 2013.

Robert and Evelyn Fisk Endowed Nursing

Five awards for $1,000

  • 3.0 GPA.
  • Enrolled in the Nursing program or will be accepted into the Nursing program.
  • Must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need.

Sharon Helzer Memorial Nursing

Two awards for $2,000

  • 3.5 GPA.
  • Enrolled in the Nursing program.
  • Must be completing the first year in the Nursing program.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.
  • On track to graduate at the end of the scholarship year (June 2014).

Maryella Menely Nursing

Two awards for $2,500

  • 2.5 GPA.
  • Enrolled in the Nursing program or will be accepted into the Nursing program.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.
  • Preference given to single parents of dependent children under age 18.

Nursing

One award for $1,600

  • Enrolled in the Nursing program or will be accepted into the Nursing program.
  • On track to graduate at the end of the scholarship year (June 2014).

OCF Zelma Gordon Nursing

Four awards for $2,200

  • 3.0 GPA.
  • Enrolled in the Nursing program or will be accepted into the Nursing program.

Walton Wentworth Gerrish Neonatal Nursing

Two awards for $2,500

  • Full-time student (12 credits or more per term).
  • Enrolled in the Nursing program or will be accepted into the Nursing program.
  • If currently enrolled in the program, must have completed at least two terms in the Nursing program by the end of Winter 2013.
  • Preference for students interested in neo-natal nursing.

Min Zidell

Eight awards for $3,000

  • Must demonstrate financial need.
  • Enrolled in the Nursing program or will be accepted into the Nursing program.
