Volunteer Positions

Position: Driving Range Runner

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • You will assist golfers on the driving range by refilling baskets with golf balls located in nearby tubs
  • If other golfers are waiting to use the driving range, please limit the number of baskets you give each golfer
  • You can chat with golfers, but do not interrupt their swings
  • This is a good position for fill-in golfers to volunteer
  • Be sure to check out at the Volunteer Station when you are done for the day

Position: Caddy

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • Golfers will attach or have you attach their label to their golf clubs
  • Ask the golfer if they would like to go to the driving range, if they go to the driving range they will take their clubs with them
  • If they don't, then you will need to place the clubs in the correct golf cart, the golf carts are labeled
  • The goal is to keep the bag drop area free of extra bags
  • Be sure to check-out at the Volunteer Station when you are done for the day

Position: Setup/Breakdown

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • Volunteer check-in staff will have a list of tasks and who to report to
  • This could include hanging cart signs, stocking golf carts, making centerpieces, removing signage, and various other tasks
  • Loading and unloading supplies and equipment
  • Be sure to check-out at the Volunteer Station when you are done for the day

Position: Shuttle

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • As the players arrive, you will be driving a golf cart around the parking lots and picking up golfers and getting them to the check-in area
  • Be sure to include the lots at the entrance of the course
  • Be sure to check-out when you are done for the day

Position: Photographer Assistant

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • You will be assisting a PCC staff member take team photos
  • You will verify the team name approaching the tee
  • A list will be provided for you to mark off the golfer's as they come through, please verify all names (as sometimes there are late substitutions), and make any necessary changes, from left to right
  • You will also need to log-in the photo number from your camera next to each team name
  • Be sure to check-out at the Volunteer Station when you are done for the day

Position: Putting Contest

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • You will be supervising a contest for the golfers. Be sure you are familiar with the rules from the Rules of Play program.
  • Golfers will have 3 chances to make a putt
  • Once their putt is made, their turn is over
  • Their name will be put into a drawing, with the winner will be announced at the awards reception
  • Mulligans may not be used for the putting contest
  • Be sure to check-out at the Volunteer Station when you are done for the day

Position: Registration

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • Golfers will check-in by last name, you will be assigned an alpha section to check in players
  • As they check-in, please mark them on the player list
  • You will give them a card with their Course/Hole/Cart Assignment
  • If they are replacing someone, please fill-out or have them fill-out a PLAYER REPLACEMENT form and update their name on the Master list
  • PCC Employees are designated on the Check in sheet in BLUE, they do not receive tee prizes
  • A designated PCC staff will manage the master list at registration
  • Be sure to check-out at the Volunteer Station when you are done for the day

Position: Volunteer Relief

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • You will ride around with the Volunteer Checker and relieve folks for restroom and snack breaks
  • Be sure to check-out at the Volunteer Station when you are done for the day

Position: Hole in One

  • Check-in at the Volunteer Station on the deck of the clubhouse
  • You will be stationed at the beginning or the end of a contest hole, you will need to check off teams and verify names on lists provided
  • You should greet each foursome as they approach and inform the foursome that this is the Hole-in-One tee
  • All players need to use the designated pins, balls need to be placed behind the pins
  • Be sure to position yourself to observe all shots to witness a Hole-in-One
  • Mulligans are not allowed (do overs)
  • If someone makes a Hole-in-One, you will be required to sign a witness sheet
  • If a Hole-in-One occurs contact PCC Foundation staff immediately
  • Do not leave the hole unattended for any reason
  • You will be relieved at various times for breaks
  • Be sure to check-out at the Volunteer Station when you are done for the day
