2015 PCC Foundation Gala
As unparalleled achievements in science and industry blasted us into the Space Age, it changed our ideas about what is possible. From the comfort of our living rooms, we looked down at the earth from above. We saw in the planet’s blue glow the promise of a brave and bold new future. We would have jetpacks. Jumpsuits. Everyone would be welcome there—and our lives would be as sweet and bright as a full glass of Tang.
While our imaginations soared to new heights, the expanding possibilities of higher education brought opportunity down to us here on earth. In 1961, the year before The Jetsons beamed into our living rooms, Portland Community College was established as an educational resource for all Oregonians: a place where students could come to embark on journeys of learning and discovery.
Today Portland Community College continues to help students go farther than they ever thought possible. Your support of scholarships and success initiatives allows students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend college to explore brave new worlds of learning.
In celebration of the imagination and innovation of the 1960s space age, join the PCC Foundation for a vintage sci-fi inspired gala to support our remarkable students. Strap on your moon boots, because it’s going to be out of this world!
