The following links provide information about various private scholarships. They are not affiliated with Portland Community College. Eligibility requirements, award amounts and application deadlines vary; please carefully review each scholarship for which you wish to apply. - 2Futuro Scholarship Sweepstakes
- A $1,000 scholarship will be randomly awarded on a monthly basis with a larger scholarship prize awarded in May. Please visit the web site to view the full official rules.

- AES Engineering Solutions
- A scholarship awarded on the basis of character, as determined by the evaluation of essays that are submitted. It is not required that students be enrolled in engineering courses.

- American Welding Society Foundation
- Various scholarship, fellowship, and loan programs for students preparing for a career in the welding and related joining technologies. Please review individual requirements on the provided web site.

- ASHRAE American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, Air-conditioning Engineers
- Follow links for the Student Zone. Multiple scholarships available and requirements may vary. Generally, Scholarships are available to undergraduate engineering, engineering technology and graduate students enrolled full-time in a curriculum approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or other accrediting agency recognized by ASHRAE, and the student is pursuing a course of study which traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for a career in HVAC&R. - To be considered for this scholarship you must be between the ages of 16 and 21.
- Beaverton Rotary Club
- Scholarships for residents in the Beaverton School District pursuing a one or two year vocational degree.
- Big Dig Scholarship
- To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a high school senior and entering your first year of college/university. Submit a 1000 word essay by the stated deadline.

- Christopher Mesi Memorial Music Scholarship
- A musical scholarship for students enrolled in a music degree program at any Oregon or SW Washington college for the 2007 fall term.
- Clayfolk
- Elice T. Johnston Scholarship for the Ceramic Arts. Two years of college or equivalent art education required. Applicant must be resident of Oregon or Northern California. Additional requirements, such as portfolio are outlined in the application materials.
- Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation
- Students must be nominated by a campus representative. Contact the SPIN office 971-722-4361 for more information.
- The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
- This premier scholarship opportunity is afforded to Latino students who have a history of performing public service-oriented activities in their communities and who plan to continue contributing in the future. There is no GPA or major requirement. Students with excellent leadership potential are encouraged to apply.
- Data Processing Management Assoc./Portland Chapter (DPMA/pc)
- This is a locally based group of professionals dedicated to the promotion of the IT industry through legislation, certification, networking and education. The DPMA/Portland Chapter offers at least one $1,000 scholarship each year as part of the education promotion program to graduating high school seniors who enroll in a major directly related to the Information Technology industry at any accredited institution in the state of Oregon or Washington.

- Equity Foundation's scholarships are from a wide variety of all parts of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-gender, queer and questioning (LGBTQQ) community that are committed to assisting college students of all ages fund their tuition and fees.

- Fine Art Finals Scholarship Competitions
- A scholarship dedicated to the promotion of talented emerging artists at the collegiate level
- The Ford Family Foundation

- Healthy Lifestyles Scholarship
- You must be under 25 years of age. You must also be a senior in high school or a first year college/university student.
- Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities

- Hispanic Scholarship Fund
- Several different scholarships are offered, please review each for eligibility requirements, deadlines and award amounts.
- Hispanic Fund
- This site offers information and applications for many scholarships. Application requirements may vary, but the following are universal:
- Must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of no less than a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Must be starting as a college freshman, sophomore, junior or senior by fall 2004.
- Must plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student (minimum 12 credits per semester).
- Must be applying to or be enrolled in a college or university in the fifty states or Puerto Rico.
- Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber
- To provide support and encourage Hispanics to continue their higher education, the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber awards scholarships annually to qualifying applicants.
- Home Depot Trade Scholarship Program
- The Home Depot Trade Scholarship Program is open to students nationwide currently enrolled in a building and construction trade school program at a college, university, or accredited educational institution who will be entering into the final year or term of their degree or career program.
- Jack Kent Cooke Foundation

- Jeannette Rankin Foundation
- Offers scholarships for low income women age 35 and over.
- Jewish Federation of Portland
- This award is aimed at Portland area residents who are members of the Jewish community.
- Junior Achievement
- The JA/Deloitte “Excellence through Ethics” essay contest awards one $5,000 college scholarship to a high school senior. Details and application available online.
- KATU
- KATU Thomas R. Dargan Minority Scholarship In the tradition of Thomas R. Dargan, dedicated and lifelong broadcaster, this scholarship is intended to encourage and assist minority students to complete their education in broadcasting or communications.
- Leslie S. Parker Memorial Scholarship
- To be considered you must be a female entering your 3rd or 4th year of higher education.
- LIFE Lessons

- Man Mac Automatic Scholarship
- To be considered for this scholarship you must be enrolled or expected to be enrolled in an undergraduate program by Fall term.
- Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
- Awards available for dependents of current or former marine reservists, or Navy Corpsman who served with the Marine Corps and who have completed the introductory biology sequence.
- Microsoft
- Scholarships are designed to encourage students to pursue studies in computer science and related technical disciplines. Students from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico will be awarded scholarships in recognition of their passion for software, academic excellence, and ability to make a difference in the software industry. Four types of technical scholarships are offered to current undergraduate students: General Scholarship, Women's Scholarship, Underrepresented Minority Scholarship, and Scholarships for Students with Disabilities. - To be considered for this scholarship you must be between the ages of 16 and 25.
- Oregon Association of Broadcasters
- Scholarship for Oregon resident students who are majoring in Broadcast Journalism, Production, Management, and/or other broadcast-related studies at eligible Oregon institutions.
- Oregon Association of Public Accountants
- Scholarships are available to high school seniors heading off to college as well as for current college students. Application requirements and materials are available by following the Educational Foundation link.
- Oregon Institute of Marine Biology
- This scholarship is designed to assist a student who plans to major in marine biology or environmental science to attend a summer term at OIMB. Students who apply must have taken a one year sequence of introductory biology for majors.
- Oregon Logging Conference Scholarship Application
- Scholarships are available for students in the following areas of study: Forestry, Forest Engineering, Forest Management, and other related areas such as; Welding, CAT-skinning and Diesel Mechanics.
- Oregon Medical Education Foundation- Linn-Benton County
- Awards will be made to current senior or graduates of a Linn or Benton county high school. Students must be seeking a career or academic degree in medicine or nursing.
- Oregon Nurses Association
- Scholarships available for students in the Nursing field.
- Oregon Nurseries Foundation
- Available to students preparing for a career in ornamental horticulture and related fields.
- Oregon PTA
- Scholarship Information. Oregon PTA is awarding several $500 scholarships to education majors attending Oregon public colleges and universities.
- Oregon Scottish Rite Education Foundation, Inc
- Scholarship for students in their sophomore through senior year of undergraduate studies with a GPA or 3.5 or higher. Call for more info 503-226-7827
- Oregon Student Assistance Commission
- OSAC offers more than 300 scholarships through the single application form.
- Peace Scholarships
- You must be a freshman at the time of this application. Students applying much provide evidence of leadership and/or personal initiative in activities or an organization relating to peace, and social justice, nuclear disarmament and/ or conflict resolution.
- P.E.O Sisterhood

- Pioneer District Garden Clubs Inc

- Possible Woman Foundation
- Possible Woman Foundation International has awarded over $60,000 in academic scholarships to women in need. Our primary target audience is women who are returning to school after a hiatus, changing careers, seeking advancement in their career or work life, and stay-at-home moms entering the workplace and in need of additional education/training. This scholarship is not intended for recent high school graduates or women who are eligible for or who have already received other significant funding. Deadline: February 23.

- The GBSA Scholarship Program builds leadership, promotes diversity and supports human rights for all. GSBA is the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender and Allied Business and professional Chamber of Commerce serving the Seattle community since 1981.

- Sunshine Lady Foundation (Women's Independence Scholarship Program)
- SLF believes that education is a powerful tool which breaks down barriers and opens doors of opportunity. The objective of the Women's Independence Scholarship Program is to help survivors of domestic violence obtain an education that will in turn offer them the chance to secure employment, personal independence and self sufficiency. Support is available for full or part-time students interested in attending vocational, community college, four-year degree or graduate studies programs.
- Talbots Women's Scholarship Fund
- This is a scholarship for women who earned their high school diploma or GED at least 10 years ago, and who are now seeking a college degree.
- Third Wave Foundation
- Offers scholarships to female activists age 30 and under.
- Tillamook County Master Gardener Association
- For students who have graduated from or are currently seniors at Tillamook County high schools or have current residency in Tillamook county for a minimum of two years.

- United Negro College Fund

- USA Funds
- USA Funds offers a total of $3 million in new scholarships to assist college students who demonstrate financial need. Deadline is March 15.
- Vancouver Restaurant Scholarship
- To be eligible for this scholarship you must be between the ages of 15-21 as of the May 30 deadline. You must also be a full time student in either high school or college/university.
- Willamette Valley Ag Association Scholarship Stars
- Scholarships for students in a field of study that would have a positive impact on production agriculture, or other agricultural related fields.
- Women's Opportunity Award
- This scholarship is for women who have primary responsibility for supporting their family, and are working toward their first undergraduate degree. Previous recipients are not eligible.
