Small Business ManagementWhat is it?

The Entrepreneur Development Program is a four-year comprehensive business education program that helps guide small business owners from day one to year six and beyond. Participants will benefit from comprehensive business education, peer-to-peer interaction, ongoing business advising and high levels of accountability. CLIMB's SBDC offers five levels of small business training. Where you begin depends on where your business is in its development. Participants will be selected through a guided interview process.

The Entrepreneur Development Series
Our premier program for launching-stage entrepreneurs and is designed to provide entrepreneurs with the information and resources necessary to develop a firm foundation for their first year in business. The series includes 10 intensive workshops that provide the “hard” and “soft” skills of entrepreneurship, coupled with 20 hours of ongoing business advising for accountability. 
Small Business Management I
For business owners in the second-year phase of their business's development and covers basic business elements of operation, finance, marketing, sales, human resources and business plan development. It includes 30 hours of business education -- the essential foundation for a successful business -- coupled with 20 hours of ongoing business advising for accountability.
Small Business Management II
For business owners who have completed Small Business Management I and/or who have been in business three or more years, with or without employees. The program covers intermediate-level business elements of operations, finance, marketing, sales, human resources and business plan development. It includes 30 hours of business education -- the essential foundation for a successful business -- coupled with 20 hours of ongoing business advising for accountability.
Small Business Management III 
For business owners who have been in business five or more years and who have employees. The program covers advanced-level study of business elements of operations, finance, marketing, sales, human resources and business plan development. It includes 30 hours of business education -- the essential foundation for a successful business -- coupled with 20 hours of ongoing business advising for accountability.
Master’s Advisory Cohort
A peer-to-peer mentoring program for entrepreneurs who have completed the previous steps of the Entrepreneur Development Program. Entrepreneurs are given an opportunity to meet with each other, present their business cases and be held accountable as they continue to grow their businesses. The program also includes guests presentations by subject matter experts.
