Board Certification In Holistic Nutrition

The Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board (HNCB) is a credential body founded in 2003 as a division of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP). Their Mission is to provide knowledge-based examination and credentialing services to holistic nutrition professionals, thereby promoting a nationally recognized, responsible and credible body of holistically educated nutrition professionals that serve as the primary holistic and functional nutrition resource for consumers, health care professionals and the media. HNCB certified professionals work to advance the paradigm for creating health by adhering to a holistic perspective and empowerment model of nutrition education and consulting.

Students who successfully complete the CLIMB Nutritional Therapy program will meet the educational standards required to become professional members of the NANP, and may apply to sit for the board exam in holistic nutrition. Upon passing the exam, students are considered a “Board Certified Candidate”.  After providing documentation of 500 hours of practice to NANP, candidates will become fully Board Certified. Individuals who sit for the exam within twelve months of graduating have two years from the date they pass their exam to provide evidence of their 500 client contact hours.
