Course Description

Students learn a broad range of skills for manufacturing, construction, laborer, and crafts industry. Workplace habbits, team work, basic skills, and industryspecific procedures are presented in this applied/lab environment.

Intended Outcomes for the course

1. Awareness and knowledge of the desired industry’s culture, climate, and expectations
2. Using a support platform for personal and career development
3. Complete a CIS Apprenticeship and Occupation Exploration Assignment
4.Complete the Dress for Success Exercise
5.Complete the Network Building Strategies Assignment
6.Complete Personal Budget
7.Compile a portfolio and make a presentation to the class
