Course Description
Reading for Enjoyment Help students develop their abilities to read, understand, and enjoy literature. Prerequisite: Placement into RD 90 or instructor permission.Addendum to Course Description
Reading 95 is designed to help students develop their abilities to read, understand, and enjoy literature. Reading 80 or instructor permission is required.
Intended Outcomes for the course
At the end of the term, the successful student will
· use reading as a pleasurable and positive way to spend time
· articulate/communicate personal growth in reading skills
· participate effectively in literary conversation and response writing
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Assessment may include, but is not limited to:
1. Completion of daily reading assignments
2. Participation in class discussion
3. Short in-class quizzes and tests
4. Completion of one or more short papers
5. Reasonable attendance
