Course Description

Provides aspiring systems administrators with the knowledge and skill sets to install, configure, implement, and manage a web server. A variety of operating systems will be explored. Course does not cover publishing Web page content. Recommended: CIS 278 and either CIS 279M or CIS 279L. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

On successful completion of this course the student should be able to:
¿      Install,
¿      Troubleshoot,
¿      Maintain, and
¿      Administer a "live" web server.

Course Activities and Design

This course is presented by means of:
¿         on-campus lectures or on-line lessons

¿         group lab assignments.
Students will be required to use essential tools to complete the lab assignments.
