Discuss case strategy, food formulas and nutrient actions (intake/deficiency) and body typing. Client assessments (lab/ in-office) in food therapy context, student diet diary, and personal diet assessment used to learn applications of food therapy for acute and chronic conditions, compliance, and capacity for beneficial change.
Intended Outcomes for the course
- Present to clients up to 10 factors in procuring and storing food within at least 3 cultural or academic approaches to whole foods cooking.
- Design menu plans, utilizing therapeutic foods and nutrient intake/deficiency assessment useful within the current American health care system.
- Recall, explain and integrate nomenclature, methodology and procedures of food therapy as applied for health maintenance, acute and chronic conditions, compliance and efficacy.
