Course Content and Outcome Guide for CEU 3050 Effective Fall 2016
Course covers an Ayurveda Overview including history, energetics, and constitution; Ayurvedic Dietary Principles of taste, energetic and healing qualities of foods and individualized diet; food preparation and cooking techniques, Ayurvedic Herbs; pathologies and specific nutritional disease treatments.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Evaluate up to 10 Ayurvedic core nutritional concepts and up to 30 common Ayurvedic clinical symptoms for client diet/deficiency conditions
Recall, explain and integrate nomenclature, methodology and procedures of Ayurveda in diet planning, compliance and efficacy
Interpret client pathology, acute and chronic conditions, and impaired metabolism toward health maintenance recommendations
