PCC and State Department of Higher Education adhere to national standards for lecture classes of approximately two hours of out of class work for each hour in class for letter grade credit. For audit student informs instructor of intent to audit at the beginning of the class and meets attendance requirements. Auditing requires advance registration at the same tuition rate. Auditing does not require outside of class work. Official college transcript lists only "special studies" and not specific topic. Students advised to save syllabi to submit with transcript to other colleges or certifying bodies. Some certifying bodies may accept audit grades for re-certification. Student is to check. Transferabilityof credit to other colleges depends entirely on institution accepting credits with certification board.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Varies with the course. Positively impact addiction treatment and/or ATOD prevention services to clients by enhancing addiction counselorknowledge of best practices. Courses often open to and useful for the general public.
