SOC 223   Social Gerontology/Sociology of Aging

Description: Explores the impact of social and sociocultural conditions on the process of aging and the social consequences of this process. Also explores the aging process through a life-course perspective and adopts a social problems approach to aging and related issues. Recommend: SOC 204 or 205, or instructor permission. Prerequisite: WR 115, RD 115, and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores.
