Program Requirements
To participate in the program, students must:
- Be age 18 or older (16 and 17 year old students may be approved in some cases - contact the Skill Center for more info)
- Attend and Complete an orientation
In keeping with PCC standards and practices, those applying to the Margaret Carter Skill Center must score at least 225 on the Reading test and 210 on the Math test - CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment) - to demonstrate the ability to benefit from the instructional services provided by the Skill Center.
Orientation and Assessment Times
Orientation and Assessment testing take place every Tuesday at 11:30am in Cascade Campus TEB Room 124.
Advising and Registration
- Complete the CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System) test
- Schedule an appointment with an advisor to interpret CASAS scores and complete registration for classes
Cost
Skill Center students are not required to pay tuition. They are only responsible for student activities fees and technology fees.
