ETAP partners with BOLI and ODOT to support pre-apprentices on their way to entering registered apprenticeships. This support ensures that students will successfully complete their journey level certification. The partnership also holds outreach activities in communities in North/Northeast Portland and Southwest Washington. Outreach activities educate residents about opportunities in the five trades that build and repair highways and bridges.
Our goal in partnership is to educate people about the five construction trades:
- Carpentry:
- Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute
- Iron Workers:
- Northwest Ironworkers
- Operating Engineers:
- International Union of Operating Engineers: Oregon and SW Washington
- Construction Laborers:
- Oregon and Southern Idaho Laborers-Employers Training Trust
- Cement Masons:
- Cement Masons Local 555
The aim of the ETAP Program is to assist individuals in entering registered apprenticeships and move into journey-level positions. We support the effort of industry to employ highly skilled apprentices and journey-level workers. Through partnership, we strive to fulfill the diversity placement goals and objectives of joint apprenticeship training centers, signatory, general and sub-contractors.
Not all investments are financial: partnerships can be one of the most effective investments an organization can make. A good partnership has unlimited potential. ETAP was built on partnership and has survived because of its ability to deliver on its commitment to its partners. ETAP is mission driven and measures its results. We stand by all partners with the highest professional assurance of success.
