Tektronix employees read their way to success

Recognizing a need to improve non-native English Speaking (NNES) employees’ literacy skills, Tektronix contracted with CLIMB to develop and deliver a workplace-based literacy assessment tool to more than 80 NNES frontline workers. This customized assessment tool included four reading proficiency levels which drew from a wide variety of the company’s authentic workplace documents. CLIMB developed and delivered 200 hours of customized Reading in the Workplace training for Tektronix. As a result of training, more than 90% of the participants attained "Level Four" reading proficiency and graduated from the program.
