Proving that there is strength in numbers, local employers join forces to provide cutting edge training for their workers
The Forest Grove Economic Development Partnership conducted a needs assessment of major local employers that identified workforce development as the key to maintaining competitiveness and a strong local economy. The Partnership created the Forest Grove Education and Training Consortium (FGTEC) and contracted with CLIMB to provide customized training services for member companies ranging from high tech to primary wood products. CLIMB provided more than 460 hours of training to over 250 employees from more than eight companies.
