Are you a consensus builder? A strong leader? An enthusiastic team player? If you are, or want to be, Portland Community College wants you to get paid for it. The college's Management and Supervisory Development program seeks to teach you the skills and concepts to be a leader in the workplace. This program will show you how to be an effective manager of individuals and teams. These skills will be applicable in a multitude of work environments -- from manufacturing to service, from for-profit to non-profit, from high-tech to low-tech.
Students of the Management and Supervisory Development program will receive training in problem solving, written and oral communication, controlling costs and budgets, working effectively in a diverse workplace and more. Graduates are employed by private, public and governmental agencies. Examples include A-dec, Cascade Steel, Climax Portable Machine Tools, Fujitsu, Intel, Goodwill Industries, City of Portland and Wacker Siltronic. Skills acquired in this program will also prove valuable in helping you succeed in self-employment.
