Learning Garden
- Volunteers or service learning students can work in the Environmental Center Plot planting, weeding, or harvesting. Contact: Joshua.Liebschutz@pcc.edu
- Help solicit donations of seeds and tools from local businesses.
Recycling
Alex de Roode, Sustainability Manager
- Recycling Coaches needed. Coaches will give out “caught green handed” tickets to be filled out and dropped at the e-center a drawing for a prize!
- Work with the environmental center to create and post new signs for cafeteria and for new district-wide recycling bins.
- Do class raps on recycling! Read a three minute educational message to students before class begins.
Work Study Positions
Three work study positions are available per term. If you have been awarded work study and would like to apply for a work study position with the Sustainability Initiative, please contact Alex de Roode, Sustainability Manager for information on available positions and application process. Positions such as "Alternative Transportation Intern" and "Recycling Education Coordinator" will be posted soon!
