Regional Center of Expertise
A group of teachers, students, non-profits, government agencies, businesses and community leaders from the Greater Portland region is applying to be designated as a Regional Center of Expertise (RCE) to help support collaborative efforts in education for sustainable development (ESD).

Earth Week activities are taking place at Rock Creek from April 15-19, and Sylvania from April 22-26. The documentary "Carbon Nation" will also be showing on April 22 at 4pm across the district.

Students, Staff, and Faculty from PCC Sylvania will lead the Computer eCycle Drive - accepting old, unwanted computer equipment and making sure it is responsibly recycled. At last year's drive, we recycled over 13 tons of computer equipment, and this year we hope to get even more.

In observance of America Recycles Day on November 15th, PCC Sylvania will be hosting the PCC Recycles Day. The event will be held in the CC mall from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Learn about all the recycling programs at PCC and turn in your America Recycles Day Pledge for a small token of our appreciation.

"Washed Ashore: plastics, sea life and art" is a touring educational art show featuring large-scale sculptures of sea creatures threatened by plastics in the ocean.
