The name Synergy stands for Sylvania energy. Synergy is a student led PCC Campus Climate Challenge Campaign. Synergy aims to reduce PCC’s net carbon emissions by reducing electricity waste. Synergy’s goals to reduce these emissions are:  to put PCC’s computers onto 15 minute sleep timers, to install motion sensor switches in the bathrooms, and to bring awareness to students and faculty so they will turn off lights and equipment when they are not being used. Synergy’s long term goal is to make Sylvania’s energy use sustainable and independent by starting a revolving loan fund, which will be used to invest in solar panels and rooftop wind power.
