Sylvania Spring eCycle Drive - 2009

Ten classes are came together Mother's day weekend to put on the Spring eCycle Drive, where the community brought their old, unwanted electronics, and we will responsibly recycled them for free!

 

2008 Alternative Fuel Vehicle Odyssey

Bike Commuter Challenge

During the month of September 2008- we put our pedals in motion! All four PCC Campuses participated in this year's Bike Commuter Challenge presented by the Bicycle Transportation Alliance. Click here for more information!

 

Electronics Recycling Event 2008

Smart Cars are Ultra Low Emissions VehiclesComputers, television sets, stereos, DVDs, CD players, electric lawnmowers – along with the random holiday cookie tin container – created a grave yard of sorts at the Sylvania Campus! Click for follow up story and photos.

 

Earth Week - April 21-24, 2008

April 21-25, 2008 - District-wide events were planned by the campus Green Teams! See below for the latest information on your campus' Earth Day and for contact information on how to become involved in PCC's annual celebration of environmental successes.

April 21 - April 24: The Sylvania Campus hosted a film series, live comedy improv, a veggie dog eating contest, awards ceremony, and much more!

April 21st -25th: Rock Creek held a LOOP Celebration, touring the Environmental Studies Center, and forming a giant earth out of humans!

April 21st and 22nd South East Center showed environmental films and hosted informational tables in the Great Hall.

 

 

Focus the Nation 2008

Focus the Nation was a district-wide success! PCC campuses had dozens of professors participating in the teach-in, all focused on global warming issues and solutions. PCC campuses also organized energy-centered special events and hosted guest speakers from varying professions.
