Portland Community College is committed to becoming a leader in academic programs and operational practices that model the sustainable use of resources, so that the needs of current generations are met without impairing the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. – Board Policy B-707
The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) provides funding for projects which "green" our campus and reduce the college's impact on the environment. TGIF allocates fund to projects that increase the amount of renewable energy used on campus, increase energy efficiency and reduce the amount of waste created by our college. Portions of this fund will support educational initiatives and student internships. TGIF is administered through a student majority governance board.
