Intranet (PCC Web) Copyright Guidelines

The PCC Intranet is by definition a network of college websites that is closed to the general public. Only staff and faculty with appropriate authorizations via log-ins or IP addresses may view pages on the college Intranet.

PCC staff and faculty may include excerpts from copyrighted materials on Intranet web pages under the following conditions:

• The individual or the college must have purchased a legal original of the copyrighted material (book, magazine, video, newspaper, picture, computer file or program, etc.), or
• The individual or the college must own the copyright to the materials, or
• The individual or the college must have obtained verifiable permission to copy the material from the copyright holder, or
• The material on the web page meets the FAIR USE GUIDELINES already established in this policy, AND
• The material is clearly marked and acknowledged as copyrighted material including citation.
