Related Workshop

One-day POGIL (process oriented guided inquiry learning) workshop on Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 9am to 4pm. 2YC3 members will be given priority registration through August 15. Registration and payment should be made on the POGIL website. The workshop will then be open to the public.

POGIL (process oriented guided inquiry learning) is a student-centered classroom technique that combines aspects of constructivism, in which students construct their own understanding of a concept, and collaborative learning, in which students work in teams to learn a skill or concept together. POGIL promotes student learning of disciplinary concepts as well as process skills such as critical thinking, communication, management, and self-assessment.
