Distance Course Request - Definitions
Create a new Web course
A new Web course may be a new section of a course that has already been developed or a course that has never been taught on-line. The course will be developed in the PCC course management system (Blackboard CE), using a new, empty course shell. The course will be delivered it fully on-line, with no or minimal required on-campus attendance, and in the case of minimal on-campus attendance, with clearly defined alternatives for students to complete the entire course at a distance.
- SAC Approval
- All new distance learning courses must be approved by the appropriate SAC for distance delivery, and it is the responsibility of the Division Dean to verify that approval has been granted.

This option is available for courses that were developed over three years ago and those that are in rapidly changing fields where content has changed substantially.
