About Assignments
Instructors can use Assignments in D2L Brightspace to create folders for students to submit documents. There are a variety of submission types available.
- File Submission – Create an assignment folder so students can submit any type of file.
- Text Submission – Create an assignment folder so students can write their responses in a built-in text editor.
- On Paper Submission – Create an assignment that doesn’t require an online submission. It acts as a placeholder for directions, can be linked to the gradebook, and still allows online feedback.
- Observed in Person – Create an assignment that doesn’t require an online submission. It is a placeholder for directions and can be linked to the gradebook.
Instructors can keep the folder open or open the folder for a date range.
