Who’s Using the Content Area in Your Class?
Do you ever wonder how much time your students spend in the content area? How much time they spend on each topic or if/when they accessed your materials? Here is a quick and easy way to view these statistics. This information could be invaluable when investigating claims of completion.
- Click on the Content tab in your navbar.
- Click on Table of Contents on the left panel.
- Click on the Related Tools button on the right panel.
- Select View Reports from the options
The default view will be the Content tab. Here you will see a list of all content by module, a column for Users Visited and the Average Time Spent.
By clicking on the Users Visited link for any item, you will be presented with a list of your students and date last visited, number of visits, total time spent and average time spent.
By selecting the Users tab, you will be able to view your class list and the total number of Content Topics Visited. By clicking on a student name, you will see a detailed summary of your course content with number of visits, average time spent and date last visited for that student.
Remember, students can access some items through the navigation bar which will not be recorded in the “Content” stats. Then again, there are some materials that are only available through content.
